Steamed Hilsa
Ingredients:
6 pieces of Hilsa fish,
4 table spoon mustard paste,
6 slit green chillies,
1/2 teaspoon green chilli paste,
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder,
5 table spoon mustard oil,
salt to taste,
6 pieces of banana leaves cut into size,
strings.
Method :-
Make a mixture of the mustard paste, green chilli paste, turmeric, salt and oil. Cover the pieces of Hilsa well with the mixture. Take one piece of the fish covered with enough mixture and put it on a piece of banana leaf. Also put a green chilli with it and fold the piece of leaf to cover the fish along with the mixture. Tie well the banana leaf with the string. Make the other packets of fish in the same way. Now, place the six packets of fish in a strained container and cook them for about 1/2 hour. Serve with steaming rice.
