An old woman and a doctor

                 Once upon a time an old woman had severe eye problems. She could hardly see anything. So one day she went to a doctor and asked him to examine her eyes. She promised that if he could cure her eyes she would definitely reward him with a huge fortune. On the other hand if he failed she would not pay him a single penny. The doctor agreed to her. He started examining the woman from the next day at her residence. There he saw many costly and beautiful items. He felt greed. He decided that everyday when he would come to check-up the woman he would steal one item. He slowed down the process of treatment to  the woman so that he could get time to steal all the items. Days passed like this. 

                 Finally, the old woman was cured and she could see. She saw that her house was robbed of all the costly items and realized that the doctor was the culprit. Then the doctor claimed that he had cured the woman completely and asked for the promised fortune. The old woman was very angry with the doctor. So she did not reply despite his repeated asking. He at last lodged a complaint with the Court. When she was questioned at the Court she  replied that the promise  the doctor was talking about was conditional  that the doctor shall have to cure her completely. She further said that before her ailment she could see all the things in her home. When her ailment started her sight became faint and with gradual deterioration she could not see the things. Had she been cured as claimed by  the doctor she should have seen all the articles around her. But she was not seeing any of them. The judge understood everything and reprimanded the doctor with the direction to return all the goods.
